Production begins on “The Grey Movie”

The long awaited and highly anticipated documentary on the infamous student based collective, the Organization, has officially began filming in selected areas around New York City. At the helm of the project once again is Nicholas Bruckman, acting as both producer and director; also working on the project are John Matiuzzi as cinematographer, Justin Thomas as co-producer and writer, and Jordan Forkey as editor and writer.

The story follows the rise and eventual unraveling of the Organization, a loosely knit band of student activists, as they attempted to spark a revolution in ideas and direct action in a post 9/11 America. Using recent events under the Bush Administration as a backdrop, the story follows several key figures in the Organization’s inception and evolution, and showcases their metamorphosis from disillusioned youth into empowered radicals at the front lines of a sweeping movement demanding a reaffirming of America’s founding ideals.

Further updates on the progress of the film will be posted in the coming months, and a private screening is expected sometime early in the new year.
