Internship Applications Open for the Spring 2008 semester at Purchase College

People’s Television is seeking interns for the following positions. Each is an unpaid internship for 4-upper level credits for 5-10 hours of work/week. Some work can be done from home/campus, some will be done from our office in upper Manhattan. Student must have a minimum of 30 credits to apply for credit.

Web Publicity/Marketing - We are looking for a web 2.0 savvy intern to manage our online presence, including our text and video blogs as well as our presence on popular social networking and video sites. Qualified student will have strong writing and Internet communication skills (no technical experience required.)

Still Photography - Intern will be responsible for assisting on-set photography during film shoots, head shots, and event photography (screenings, festivals, etc.)

Graphic/Web Intern - Student graphic/web designer to assist professional in design and implementation of visually focused web sites for nonfiction films /commercial work produced by People’s Television. Intern will gain experience and ultimately be responsible for preparing videos for flash and other web-capable video formats. (For an example of our work see http://www.la-americana.com)

Video Editing/Post-Production - The qualified candidate will assist editing feature-length nonfiction programming, corporate/event videos, and web podcasts. Responsibilities will include digitizing and logging footage, editing video and audio on an apple editing suite, and potentially shooting supplementary material in the NYC area.
